The past two years have been extremely challenging for businesses across the nation following Brexit and the pandemic. However, a local support service has been doing their bit to assist those in Cornwall.

Konnect for Business has been providing specialist, fully-funded support to eligible businesses across Cornwall since its launch in June 2021.

The scheme is funded by the European Union Regional Development Fund and works as a one-stop-shop for businesses to find tailored support in all areas of business including recruitment, marketing, finance and HR. So far the scheme has built up a caseload of 36 businesses and has successfully completed support with 18 of those.

Since July 2021 the scheme has helped established organisations overcome immediate challenges and barriers to growth.

The business specialists delivering the programme have demonstrated that this kind of support can make a difference and are now keen to extend this vital service to those not eligible for fully-funded support by offering the opportunity to pay for their services.

This means the launch of an exciting new project later this year that will work as a one stop shop for more businesses across Cornwall and nationwide. Offering them access to a wide range of business support.

Konnect for Business’s new service will direct its profits into the work of Konnect Communities, which supports individuals across Cornwall who are facing challenges in their lives. This includes victims and offenders of crime, those facing homelessness and young people struggling to remain in education.

Tracy Waters, Project Manager for Konnect for Business said “We have such an amazing team of business mentors and specialists who show real passion for helping businesses develop and grow in Cornwall. We are excited to be launching our new service to help even more in need of our services. I can not wait to see what the future holds”.

If you are a business owner and feel you would benefit from help from Konnect for Business, please do not hesitate to get in touch: hello@konnectforbusiness.co.uk. The new paid service is planned to go live in September when even businesses not eligible for funded support will be able to benefit from assistance.
