Tulip’s Bodmin-based operation has been recognised in the ‘Human Health and Welfare’ category at McDonald’s Best of Sustainable Supply awards.
The awards celebrate the achievements of suppliers across the McDonald’s global supply chain which this year saw around 600 submissions in eight categories with only 51 of the entrants gaining recognition.
Kirsty Wilkins, Tulip’s Group HR director, said: “We were thrilled that our programme of activities to improve the health and welfare of our colleagues has been recognised by our customer McDonald’s.”
Tulip’s Bodmin site produces a wide range of cooked meats and cooked bacon for the UK’s leading retail and food service businesses.
