The Claremont Hotel in Polperro, which was historically a set of 17th century fisherman’s cottages, has come to the market with Savills.

The Claremont Hotel is an established freehold hotel with two retail units located in the heart of Polperro on the south Cornwall coast.

There are 12 en suite bedrooms and a restaurant with seating for approximately 20 and double doors which open out onto the terrace. There is also a residents’ lounge.

Included in the sale are the freeholds of two lock-up retail units: The Good Life Off Licence and the Polperro Pasty Shop. Currently owners’ accommodation is provided in a large L-shaped room on the first floor that has en suite facilities.

Savills’ Martin Rogers said: “With the current owners looking to retire, this is a rare opportunity to acquire an established hotel in the pretty seaside village of Polperro.

“Thanks to its reputation, its location in the heart of the village and its considerable roadside frontage, the hotel is perfectly placed to attract visitors and tourists. Though the Claremont has been profitably operated for a number of years, there remains significant scope for a new owner to expand the current business.”

Offers are being invited in excess of £795k.
