Software Cornwall and the Digital Skills Partnership are running a tech jam for adults on Wednesday evening (May 25) as part of the first Cornwall Festival of Tech.
The Cornwall Festival of Tech is the brainchild of the CIoS Digital Skills Partnership and Software Cornwall. It’s designed to raise the profile of the tech sector here in Cornwall, and the opportunities there are for everyone in the county.
This month the two organisations are trialling this idea with a special series of events under the banner of Cornwall Festival of Tech.
There’s something for everyone – workshops for families, a Digital Marketplace event run by Unlocking Potential, an investigation into encouraging women into tech, and a tech jam for grown-ups at St Austell Brewery, with a pasty and a pint thrown in.
The festival also includes the launch of the recent Digital Skills report for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, which highlights some huge gaps and also huge opportunities.
