A half-day conference on workplace health and wellbeing is due to be held in Truro later this year.
A key focus of the event will be an overview by Fiona Walshe (DWP) of the new free ‘Health & Work Assessment and Advisory Service’ for SMEs.
The service, due to be launched in 2014, will help employers tackle long-term sickness absence in the workplace and aims to support people getting back to work and away from long-term sickness benefits. Delegates will be able to find out what this will mean for their business and them as employers.
The free-to-attend event, which is being presented by the European Centre for Environment and Human Health, will take place at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre on December 4.
