Following the success of its May event, HfC Networks will be holding a summer business networking event in July.
Delegates at the Hall for Cornwall (HfC) event on July 19 will be treated to a presentation from an established actor, as well as a performance by a local poet.
Richard Hainsworth has been a professional actor and voice artist for 30 years, appearing in many of the nation’s favourite TV and theatre shows. He now combines all of his performance skills with his corporate knowledge to create a unique training experience.
Hainsworth will give a presentation entitled ‘Ditch the fear and bring on the crowd’, in which he will give delegates a taster of the ‘tricks of the trade’ borrowed from theatre and television which he believes can bring added depth to each person’s ability as a speaker and sky rocket their confidence.
Continuing the public speaking theme, HfC Networks also welcomes winner of the 2013 Poetry Out Loud competition at Hall for Cornwall, Angela Stoner. Stoner – who lives in Penzance and has had a collection of her verse published by Oversteps books – will perform a few of her poems at the event.
Delegates will be treated to strawberries from Cornish Food Market and clotted cream from Kelly’s of Cornwall, as well as some bubbly from St Austell Brewery. All food and beverage has been kindly donated by the sponsors
The event will be held on July 19 in Hall for Cornwall’s Assembly room, 3pm – 5pm. The event is free to attend but booking is essential; to book or for more information email Katie Hill.
