It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and to mark the occasion Cornwall College Business is hosting a special business breakfast event on Thursday (March 14).
The Apprenticeships Work! Business Breakfast, at The Business Space in Truro (8.30am-10.30am), will be attended by local businesses, who will hear tips on how to recruit an apprentice, what funding is available and the different programmes and job roles that an apprentice can support.
The event will feature guest speakers, including managers and current apprentices, from Ocean Housing, Cornwall Council and the Greenbank Hotel who will explain how apprentices have become an integral part of their business.
Henry Osborne, apprentice chef from The Greenbank, who won the Apprentice of the Year Award at the Excellence in Business Training Awards 2013, will also be speaking, along with general manager Paul Goodwin.
