Solve secures B Corp status

Solve Web Media has become the latest Cornish business to receive B Corp Certification.

There are more than 3,000 B Corps across the world but only seven in Cornwall.

By becoming a B Corp, the Newquay-based SEO company is “committed to never put profit ahead of partners, people or planet”.

Solve is a Living Wage Employer and supports several charities and lead community development projects. It is also making efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the Internet, which generates a billion tonnes of greenhouse gases every year.

Solve powers its office and web hosting servers with renewable energy and plants at least 100 carbon-eating trees each month.

Lawrence Harmer, Solve’s founder, was introduced to B Corp on a recent business trip to Liverpool with Unlocking Potential. He felt that B Corp embodied Solve’s values perfectly.

“We’re incredibly excited to be part of this global, innovative network that’s showing the world a better way of doing business,” he said.

“We’re setting an example that businesses can be financially sustainable while being sustainable for people and the planet too.”
