In a new initiative to make the latest business information and advice easily accessible to everybody, Business Link in the south west is running two free online teaching sessions later this month.

The first of these two ‘webinars’ takes place at 4pm on Wednesday November 18. Hosted by Exeter-based finance expert Jerry Davison, the ‘Make your Money Work’ session focuses on helping every small business manage cash better and properly understand its finances. A shortened, online version of his highly successful recent workshop, it is designed in the words of Business Link’s Jon Anderson to “make a real difference to your financial strength and stack the odds in your favour”.

The second – ‘20 Tips on starting an Online Business from Home’ – takes place at 11am in Friday November 20, and will be hosted by Toby Parkins, MD of St Agnes web development company UkNetWeb.

Parkins is widely acknowledged as one of the leading strategic and technical minds working in web development today, and he will share the most effective tips and tricks that make setting up an online business both straightforward and profitable.

Anderson commented: “Participating in these sessions could hardly be easier – all you need is access to a PC. Just register in advance via the links below, and then follow the instruction we’ll email you. During the sessions, you’ll not only see the host presenting – you’ll also be able to ask questions and chat with other participants. So we’re basically bringing the classroom direct into your home or office. And if you can’t make either time, don’t worry – we’ll also be recording the sessions and putting them online, so you’ll be able to watch them over and over, any time you choose.”
