Cornwall-based video production company, Oatey Media, has just returned from Spain after filming its first international video project.
The company was in Madrid as part of a wider brand film on behalf of Carrington Crisp, that’s being produced alongside additional footage being shot in the UK.
Oatey Media founder, Sam Oatey, says projects like these exemplify the opportunities available for Cornwall’s creative sector and the potential for growth within the industry.
“We’re eager to embark on this exciting project,” he said.
“When I started filmmaking, I never expected to be presented with projects like this. It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to work abroad with high-profile brands. It really does amplify that Cornwall has so much to offer and we’re proud to be part of this community.”
With eight years of delivering high-quality video content under its belt, Oatey Media has seen significant growth within the industry. With the rise of digital platforms over the past three years, brands are seeing the value of video in their marketing strategies and the impact it can have on building a stronger brand image, as well as, reaching and engaging with audiences.
Oatey added: “Projects like these highlight the world of possibilities available to Cornwall’s creative industry, including access to new markets, networking opportunities, and an exchange of ideas. By participating in international projects, the creative industry in Cornwall can increase its exposure, competitiveness, and investment in the region.”
