A Cornish Community Interest Company (CIC) is looking for fresh business sponsorship to help drive its project forward.
Citizenship for Life is an award winning 12-month programme for personallly challenged young people aged 13-14.
The programme inspires them to be good citizens through one ‘themed day’ every month, which pushes their learning and comfort zones.
Each young person has an adult mentor from the local business community who gives up their time voluntarily.
Themed visit days range from a Health and Wellbeing Day, a Legal Day, a Social Impact Day, a Homelessness Day, where they will meet the CIC’s patron, Terry Waite CBE and an Entrepreneurship Day at Dartmoor Zoo, where they will also get to meet Benjamin Mee.
Citizenship for Life relies solely on funding and sponsorship and is seeking local businesses to support these young people in the local community by offering sponsorship to enable them to complete the programme and give them the opportunity and choices they deserve to be “pioneers for the future”.
