The Budock Vean Hotel has been named a finalist in this year’s Boutique Hotelier national awards.
The award, for most innovative marketing campaign, sees the hotel in a shortlist with five hotels from across the UK.
Owner, Martin Barlow, said: “We’re obviously delighted to have made it to the finals for these industry awards and really proud of the team across the whole hotel who had a hand in its success … everything in hospitality is a team effort and I am really proud of everyone.”
The hotel was nominated for its summer campaign, devised, on the back of extensive market research, to reach new markets for UK domestic breaks.
Central to the marketing campaign was continual investment in people, place and promotion to help cement Budock Vean’s position as a much-loved country house hotel with “friendly service and timeless style at the heart of everything that is delivered”.
The assets used for much of the summer communications were, in part, created by members of the hotel’s team who were tasked with modelling the hotel’s activities.
