A Cornish communications agency was amongst the silverware at last night’s CIPR Awards for the South of England and Channel Islands.

Barefoot Media, which is based near Wadebridge, came away from the virtual awards ceremony with a silver award in the Small PR Consultancy of the Year category.

Following a rigorous entry and interview process, account manager Sophie Peters also won silver in the Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year category, which celebrates the achievements and performance of young professionals showing considerable promise as future leaders.

She said: “I am so thrilled to have won silver in the Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year category, against some very talented individuals within the industry.

“Over the last three years, Barefoot has really allowed me to develop my skills across a broad range of sectors, find my specialism, and carve out my own path as an account manager. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Meanwhile, The Nare Hotel also took silver in the Travel Leisure or Tourism Campaign category.
