Truro-based accountancy firm, Whyfield, has been busy on the recruitment front, welcoming four new team members and promoting four others.

Chartered accountant Jenna Rundle has joined as new accounts manager, Matt Luff as team lead, and Nicole Taylor and Beth Roberts have joined as bookkeeping assistants.

Additionally, Cherie Cheeseman has switched from payroll administrator to payroll technician; Tamsyn Jose has moved from office support to bookkeeping assistant and Bev Lockwood has been promoted to client bookkeeper.

Finally, practice manager, Jessica Crook, has been promoted from practice manager to people and development director.

Crook started as Whyfield’s first employee, an apprentice doing her Level 2 AAT course. Fast forward nearly ten years, with numerous qualifications and promotions under her belt, she is now a director and shareholder.

“Jess’ new role is perfectly suited to her,” said MD Laura Whyte, “having lived the entire Whyfield journey, and having met every single Whyfield employee, and most probably every Whyfield client, too.

“She is the shining example of what development opportunities we offer to the team. She is an inspiration and she’s so looking forward to driving the careers of the team forward, supporting them in achieving big things.”
