Lighting and furniture designer Tom Raffield is bringing his business up to date with the launch of a new website and studio, enabled with funding from the European Regional Development Fund through the BIG programme.
Raffield has been working for the past year to create a new workshop in the woods of West Cornwall, as well as taking on special commissions for restaurant, hotels and residential projects across the world.
Raffield has also launched a 21st century shop window to take him out of the woods and into offices and front rooms across the world with a new multi-platform website produced in conjunction with Sideways and The Dewsign Consultancy. One key feature is a brand video which gives customers a glimpse behind the scenes at the products and the steam bending process, as well as the workshop where they are all handmade.
Raffield said: ”We get a lot of enquiries asking to see the lights first-hand and we always welcome anyone to the showroom. Being in Cornwall, it’s not always practical for people to visit us here and so we are providing a great way for our customers to get a better idea of the designs than we could demonstrate from photography alone.”
