Penryn-based design and marketing agency Eight Wire has won a contract to host a series of workshops aimed at helping Cornwall SMEs harness the power of social media to help grow their business.
The sessions, presented by Eight Wire on behalf of Export Cornwall, will focus on delivering practical advice for companies looking to utilise online marketing methods to better promote their products and services at home and overseas.
The first workshop, aimed at newcomers to social media, will offer an overview of the available platforms and the advantages of using them to engage directly with existing and prospective clients internationally.
“Social media can be vital for communication and it’s important that businesses become savvy if they want to get ahead,” said Eight Wire founder and event host Sara Pugh. “It can be an incredibly cost-effective way to reach a much wider audience, whether it’s locally or internationally.”
There are still a few places available for the first session, which takes place at The Bay Hotel, Newquay on Wednesday, 13 February 2013. If you’d like to attend visit Eventbrite
