Two qualified chefs based in Helston have received a funding package of £67.1k via SWIG Finance to create a specialty deli and takeaway.
Pica Rico is led by husband-and-wife team, Francis Pipe and Jennifer Herrera. While Pipe is English-born and bred, Herrera is Mexican, and they have worked together as chefs across several countries.
The new business will offer customers a selection of local, organic produce, as well as artisan deli food from local traders.
Pipe said: “This funding has enabled us to open our deli and launch our brand with a more professional image.
“Being able to launch with industry-standard equipment and fittings greatly impacts the growth of our business as we can work more efficiently and to a higher standard.”
