Carrick Housing commissioned Barncroft Design Solutions of Saltash to create and implement a new interior design for the communal lounge at one of its housing complexes. Barncroft consulted with the Brookside residents at Chacewater to devise a scheme that would address their requirements and update the multi purpose space. The recently completed refurbishment not only creates a fresh new ambience but also provides a flexible area that all visitors can enjoy.
Philippa Hill from Carrick Housing received numerous positive comments from those at Brookside ‘We are really pleased with the outcome of this project. Everyone worked really well together and a co-ordinated area with a practical layout has been devised, which will facilitate a variety of activities’.
Environmental issues were addressed whenever possible, sourcing energy saving lighting, environmentally friendly paint, and floor tiles from Interface Flor, a company with a strong commitment to sustainability and the use of renewable resources.
Barncroft worked with local companies – Classic Restoration, Colin Williams Flooring and Abbey Upholstery – to complete this successful venture on time and within budget.
