Acorn Property Group’s Old Station Master’s House in Fowey has been shortlisted for two prestigious property awards.

The exclusive development has been named as a finalist in the South West Region’s Residential category of the RICS Awards and as Best Small New Housing Development in the LABC South West Building Excellence Awards.

The once derelict station house has been redeveloped by Acorn’s Cornwall region, Acorn Blue.

The RICS residential award is one of the UK’s premier property awards and the residential category recognises outstanding and innovative projects that have had an impact on their local communities. The LABC awards are the largest awards in the building control sector, recognising excellence in buildings, companies and partnerships.

Painstakingly brought back to life and retaining much of the site’s historical character, the development now offers a unique collection of six 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and duplex maisonettes alongside seven new build 2-bedroom apartments with river views.

Stuart Brereton, regional MD of Acorn Blue, commented: ‘We are delighted that Old Station Master’s House has received recognition from two leading property and construction institutions for the quality and innovation behind this superb regeneration project.

We pride ourselves on creating bespoke projects that enhance their environment and Old Station Master’s House is an outstanding example of Acorn’s creative vision and commitment to delivering beautiful, contemporary coastal properties.”

Old Station Master’s House has already won an award in the Best Residential Development category in the UK Property Awards, as well as being a finalist in the RICS Regeneration category in 2017.

The development has proved hugely popular and only two of the properties remain a 3-bedroom duplex maisonette on the market for £650k and a 2-bedroom third floor penthouse apartment available for £495k.

Acorn Blue are the developers behind The Dunes; a collection of thirty-six homes enjoying a prominent position on Perranporth beach, and the Courtyard at Duporth; a lifetime Living development exclusively for the over 55s with access to a private beach. They have also been named as the developer for ‘The Liner’ scheme overlooking Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth.
