Sisters and business partners, Lucy Cox and Lerryn Ryall, have raised over £11k via Crowdfunder, to bring their clever neck-saving swimwear product, Halto, to market.
Their ambitious target of £10k was hit in just 18 days, highlighting the potential for Halto within the market place.
Ryall said: “We were overwhelmed by the support we received from people right across the UK, and the speed in which it all happened.
“We have believed in the product from day one, and to have that belief verified in a way that has given us hundreds of new customers, fantastic media exposure and allowed us to raise the capital we need to actually make Halto happen, has been mind-blowing.”
The first order for tooling and manufacture has now gone in and the sisters are looking forward to seeing Halto on the shelves this summer.
Michele Poynter from Cornish lingerie retailer, MISH, is Halto’s first UK stockist. She has been a firm supporter of Halto throughout its development and said: “We are very excited to be stocking Halto, we know how many ladies avoid wearing halterneck bikinis particularly if they are fuller busted. Halto could change the way some women shop for swimwear altogether.”
