Charlestown Harbour and a monkey sanctuary near Looe are among the diverse Cornish attractions partnering with a newly-launched wedding business.
Unique Celebrations has been launched by experienced registrars, Jennifer Scott and Debbie Pugh-Jones, to offer couples an alternative to local authority civil weddings which can only be held at approved premises.
The independent celebrants provide couples with personalised and flexible wedding ceremonies at unique venues once the couple have completed the legal requirements, either at a register office or overseas.
Pugh-Jones said: “We have been working hard to find unusual venues for couples and we are delighted to have agreement from Charlestown Harbour to use this location which is becoming so well-known thanks to the Poldark filming.”
Scott added: “We are pleased to be supporting two Cornish animal charities and we are looking for more to come on our books. We will be encouraging our animal loving couples to consider supporting the charities and having their special day at the Monkey Sanctuary or Wingz Bird and Animal Sanctuary near Par – they are both in beautiful settings and wedding guests can sponsor animals for unusual wedding gifts.”
