A new gymnasium has opened its doors in St Austell.
The £200k Aspire Gymnastics Academy in Bucklers Lane hopes the legacy left by the Olympics will inspire local gymnasts of all ages.
Aspire coaching director, Mhairi Whyte, said: “It’s brilliant to have opened the doors to our new and long awaited gymnasium in St Austell.
“The 2012 London Olympics created a real interest in the sport, both from boys and girls, especially with the medal success of Beth Tweddle, Louis Smith and the men’s team.
“Gymnasts of all ages in the St Austell area and beyond now have a top class facility where they can develop their skills and confidence.”
It is the second Aspire gym in Cornwall, following one in Truro that opened in 2009.
