The much-loved pub, The Wig & Pen in Truro reopened last week with a celebration on Friday evening to mark the occasion.

The grade-two listed pub had been closed for over a year but has been given a new lease of life by new owners Tom and Lara Trubshaw, who also run the popular Peterville Inn in St Agnes.

The St Austell Brewery-owned building has undergone a full refurbishment, while a new full bar list and menu have also been introduced with local ales and Cornish produce at the forefront.

General manager, Dameon Cottam, said: “After the huge amount of work that went into the refurbishment it was brilliant to finally open the doors and welcome people into the Wig & Pen to see what we’ve done.
