Made for Life Organics has been named a Best for the World B Corp in recognition of its “exemplary performance beyond commercial metrics”.
Ranking in the top 5% of all B Corps in its size group worldwide for its sustainable business practices, Made for Life Organics earned the honour because of its community work initiatives.
Founder Amanda Winwood said: “As a UK Cornish based artisan company, we have always been passionate about doing the right thing. We were thrilled to hear that we are in the top 5% of B Corp companies for our work and commitment within the community.
“We do this from the way in which we support local growers in our sourcing to our support and commitment to open spa doors to those going through cancer. To date we have trained over 2,000 therapists across the UK in Cancer Touch Therapy, enabling accessible wellbeing for all. The Made for Life team and I are all thrilled to see that our commitment to do good within the community is rated as being as Best for the World by B Corp.”
The Best for the World recognition is administered by B Lab, the global non-profit network that certifies and mobilises Certified B Corporations, which are for-profit companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today there are more than 4,000 B Corps across 77 countries and 153 industries.
