Mount Pleasant Eco Park has launched a Crowdfunder campaign to help secure its future through these difficult times.

Like all small businesses, the current lockdown has created many issues for the community venue, which hosts everything from live music gigs and world music festivals to roots culture markets and sustainable workshops.

It has had to postpone gigs, cancel events, close its campsite and refund countless bookings where re-arranging just was not possible. Whilst income has completely stopped, outgoings have not and it still has insurance, staff costs, supplier bills etc to pay.

Consequently, the eco park is looking to raise £20k to help see it through the pandemic.

Owner Tim Stirrup commented: “We wish to continue to provide an inspiring community space where people can meet, enjoy music, dance, connect, plant, share ideas and good times once it is safe to do so, but we need your help to make that happen.

“You can donate any amount you choose via our Crowdfunder campaign, or you can pledge for one of our rewards – we need you to think to the future with us. We really love being a part of this vibrant community and cannot thank you enough for all your support.”
