Robinson Reed Layton, Coodes Solicitors and Towry Limited, have announced a number of free collaborative seminars entitled ‘Protecting Your Business’.

The wide ranging seminars will provide an insight into managing the typical key risk areas for businesses, while looking at ways of significantly mitigating the potential negative impact on business performance.

The ten seminars will be taking place between Tuesday October 4 and Tuesday October 11, with one session at 8am and another at 6pm.

The morning seminars are tailored for unincorporated organisations (eg sole traders and partnerships), whilst the evening seminars will be aimed at limited companies. The different areas of focus ensure that attendees can maximize the experience by getting only the most relevant information.

Those presenting will be: Steve Maggs, Robinson Reed Layton’s tax partner; Kirsty McAuley, company and commercial solicitor for Coodes; Nick Latimir, private client solicitor, also of Coodes; and Chris Hill, a financial planner and wealth manager, from Towry IFA. The topics to be presented on include:

  • Contractual risk areas
  • The benefits of well worded partnership and shareholder agreements
  • Tax considerations around structuring, cash extraction and funding
  • Insuring against different types of inherent risk and the available options
  • The benefits of a carefully considered and up-to-date Will, and Powers of Attorney

Each speaker is an expert in their field, and, as such, these seminars will give companies up to date information on how they can best prepare their business for a secure future.

The seminars are taking place at a number of locations across Cornwall, enabling people from across the county to benefit from the sessions.
