Robinson Reed Layton has promoted Steve Maggs from tax director to tax partner.

Maggs joined Robinson Reed Layton as tax director last September and is a chartered tax adviser with over a decade of experience in the tax profession advising individuals and private businesses.

He has spent the majority of his career with Deloitte, one of the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms in the world, before heading up the tax department of a member firm of the Moore Stephens network.

As tax partner he will lead the firm’s tax team and use his extensive experience to provide tax advice and support to the firm’s clients, and further develop the firm’s tax offering.

Maggs commented: “I have greatly enjoyed the last nine months at Robinson Reed Layton assisting new and existing clients with their tax affairs and working with our extremely experienced tax team.

“Robinson Reed Layton is a highly reputable and respected firm with huge ambition, so it is an honour to become a partner at this exciting time of growth. The tax team is of an exceptionally high standard and I look forward to leading and further developing the firm’s tax offering, while ensuring we maintain our reputation as a friendly, personable firm.”
