Cornwall Care, Cornwall’s largest care provider, has agreed terms to take on all the staff and clients of Bodmin-based Oasis Community Care.
Family-owned Oasis has been providing domiciliary care services in Cornwall and Devon for 20 years.
Under the terms of the transfer, all 60 Oasis care staff, five office staff and 140 clients will transfer to Cornwall Care’s Homecare service.
Robert Black, chief executive of Cornwall Care, which looks after more than 1,000 older people across Cornwall, said: “We are delighted to have agreed terms with Oasis Community Care.
“This transfer will safeguard jobs and ensure continuity of service for Oasis clients. We are in the process of contacting all clients and we expect the transfer to take effect in the coming weeks.”
Kevin Welch, director of Oasis Community Care, added: “Being part of Cornwall’s largest care provider is good news for our clients and staff and we are pleased to have reached agreement with Cornwall Care.”
