It’s Decision Day for the Stadium for Cornwall today (March 12) as the Council’s Strategic Planning Committee meets to discuss which of four applications to build a new supermarket to the west of the city is given the go ahead.

Should the Inox proposal at West Langarth be approved, it would appear to be all systems go for the stadium, as the building of that supermarket will fund the construction of the stadium.

Should one of the other three schemes be approved, however, the Stadium for Cornwall will be dead in the water. And to make matters worse for stadium supporters, Council planning officials have recommended that the Inox application be turned down.
