These positions are in their pubs and restaurants across Cornwall as future pub chefs and in key front of house roles, with the company’s tenant partners also offering placement opportunities.

The 30 new apprenticeships are part of an ongoing and growing partnership between St Austell Brewery and Truro and Penwith College to provide careers within the hospitality sector, accompanied by training that will enable people to launch their careers. These 30 apprentices are in addition to 10 who started with Truro and Penwith College and St Austell Brewery last year.

Martin Tucker, Director, Truro and Penwith College explained: “This is a great opportunity for young people in Cornwall to learn the hospitality trade with one of Cornwall’s growing businesses.  It is a marvellous example of the College working in partnership with St Austell Brewery providing great opportunities for young people in the county. We already have had 100 new apprenticeships in hospitality this year employed by local businesses and training with the College. The College’s investment plans to base catering and business conference facilities in the new stadium would certainly encourage further economic activity in these areas which will benefit everyone in the community.”
