All 13 members of staff at Visit Cornwall have been formally issued with their redundancy notices.
Cornwall Council first announced last September that it was looking to end its funding of the tourism body, as part of wider public spending cuts.
It is unlikely to spell the end of Visit Cornwall, however. Discussions are currently taking place with the Council on what model a tourism service in Cornwall takes going forward, which will be adopted from April onwards.
