Following a tender process, Newham Business Improvement District (BID) will be working with Penryn-based agency, Changing Brands, which has extensive experience of developing brands for other BID areas across Cornwall.

Alison Elvey, Newham BID manager, explained: “One of the key projects for Newham BID is to increase the profile of Newham and the Port of Truro and its businesses.

“We want to develop themed publicity to market the area to potential customers. The first step is to develop a brand and identity which reflects what Newham and the Port of Truro has to offer. It’s an exciting time and great to be working with John Lowdon from Changing Brands who has extensive experience of brand development for BIDs.”

Alan Treloar, director of Vickery Holman and chairman of the Newham BID signage committee, added: “We have many exciting projects for the Newham area in the pipeline, including signage, a website and a marketing campaign.  The brand is the linchpin to all of this and we are excited to see what will result from this two month process.”
