David Rogers, from Clydesdale Bank, beat Lloyds Business Banking’s Phil Wilkes in the final, held at Truro Golf Club, to become the first person to successfully defend the crown in the competition’s six-year history.

The competition began with 29 members of Cornwall’s business community playing in a league format, with the leading players going through into a knockout stage.

Event organiser, Matt Higham, an independent financial adviser from Worldwide, said: “It was another great competition played in a fantastic spirit by all those involved.

“David is a fantastic match-play golfer and thoroughly deserves to win the title.”

Entries for the 2014 league are now being accepted. For further information, email Matt Higham.
