Cornish businesses will have a chance to find out the latest position of renewable energy in the Duchy at an event being held at The Hall for Cornwall next month.
The Cornwall Energy Exchange event (June 13) is being organised by the specialist renewable energy team at leading south west law firm Stephens Scown LLP.
It will provide the current status of renewable energy in Cornwall and present the future capacity for projects and the planning implications of projects involving wind, solar, anaerobic digestion and biomass.
Speakers will include Sonya Bedford, recently recognised in the Who’s Who Guide for Energy Law and head of renewable energy at Stephens Scown, specialist planning lawyer Chris Tofts and Jonathan Kearsley from Mi-Grid.
Bedford said: “Renewable energy has found a home in Cornwall and it has been central to growth in this area, not only regionally but nationally.
“It still has a massive role to play and the marketplace is moving so quickly that it is vital to make sure you are up to date with the latest position, and also aware of the opportunities still out there.”
There is a charge of £10 to attend the event with all proceeds going to Hospiscare.
