This planning permission for 90 homes represents a £8M investment in the Cornish construction industry. Westcountry Land, in conjunction with Taylor Wimpey, has pledged to use local contractors to carry out the majority of the work. Construction will begin within the next six months and the whole development is expected to be completed within three years.

Director John Schuttkacker said: “Over the last three months, Westcountry Land has secured planning permission for 121 homes in Mabe and Mevagissey, 51 of which are truly affordable for local families. These homes are much needed in Cornwall and we’re excited about delivering them.”
