Follett Stock has announced that it is to again hold one of its popular fancy dress tennis days.
The event will be held at Truro Tennis Club on Friday June 25, coinciding with the end of the first week of Wimbledon. The day is open to both players and to those who would just rather watch and enjoy a drink or two.
The fun doubles tournament will start at midday and will end at about 4.30pm. The games will be played in a short fast moving format with players changing partners regularly. The winner will receive a trophy. There will also be a prize for the best ‘tennis legends’ fancy dress theme.
Event organiser and Follett Stock solicitor Jonathan Lea said: “The firm have put on some very successful tennis days in the past and this year we will continue the tradition, also with the usual accompanying strawberries and cream, Pimms and BBQ.”
Chris Lingard, Follett Stock’s managing partner, added: “As a big fan of Pimms and tennis myself, I am delighted that the tennis day is back. In the past everyone attending has had a fantastic day. We are, of course, confident that the weather will be perfect on the day but if not the tennis club has an indoor bar so all will not be lost!”
