Winter Rule - group

Accountants and business advisers Winter Rule have officially opened their brand new offices in Truro.

The £1.9 million investment is part of the firm’s strategy to expand the range of services it offers to business and private clients, and to provide growth in training and employment opportunities in Cornwall.

The £5 million turnover firm has nine partners, employs 90 staff and is the largest independent firm of accountants in Cornwall. It has replaced its old 1960s Lowin House office with a new landmark three-storey building on the same site that has trebled the floor space and will cater for future growth.

Winter Rule has a reputation for being a premier training firm with long recognised Investors in People status, and is one of the few accounting firms in Cornwall that continues to provide training contracts to Chartered Accountants on a regular basis.

Robert Cowie, the firm’s longest-serving partner, officially opened the offices and said: “The new Lowin House underlines Winter Rule’s commitment to Cornwall and the region and will enhance the range of services we provide our clients by having all our expertise under one roof in a modern, purpose built office.

“In the redevelopment of our office we have allowed room for future expansion which is important because as a Cornish business we remain committed to training and developing home-grown talent. This has always been a bedrock in our approach to providing quality advice to our clients.”
