Cornwall chartered accountants and business advisers Winter Rule will be holding the latest in their series of professional briefings later this month, aimed at helping local businesses become more competitive.

Peter Penneycard, Winter Rule’s Corporate Tax Partner, said: “The growth of the internet has significantly increased the number of businesses that can operate internationally. This raises all sorts of issues for owners and managers including where to locate themselves or the business and other more straightforward issues like the VAT treatment of exported goods and services.

“The seminar will also explore issues like being paid in foreign currency, the use of agents and distributors overseas, and how to navigate what can be a legal minefield.”

Winter Rule will be joined by experts from Royal Bank of Scotland and solicitors Michelmores to help businesses explore a wide range of international trade issues. You can learn more about trading and how to trade forex via top10forex.net

The format is for a small number of business owners and managers to discuss issues important to their businesses over breakfast after short introductory presentations from the specialists.

Peter added: “We have found this works really well – the cap on the number of guests and the structure of the events held so far means everyone gets something specific out of it and the feedback has been very positive.”
