Construction consultancy, Bailey Partnership, has celebrated its 50th anniversary by expanding onto the south coast of England and picking up four top titles in the Constructing Excellence Awards South West – including Winner of Winners.

Founded in 1971, Bailey Partnership has a 110-strong team of professionals and is active across the south of England with six offices from St Austell to London, including a new office in Chichester.

The ‘Building Top 100’ construction consultancy and former Building Magazine Construction Consultant of the Year has seen 20% growth in staff numbers in the last 12-month period.

In Cornwall, the practice has been behind several of the area’s most notable construction projects, including Aerohub Enterprise Zone at Newquay Airport, Treliske Innovation Centre and the conversion of York House in Penzance.

In the Constructing Excellence Awards South West, Bailey Partnership’s work on behalf of Plymouth Community Homes to deliver essential internal and external fire safety refurbishment works to Mount Wise Towers – three high-rise towers home to 270 households – caught the eye of the award judges. As well as the Winner of Winners Award, the £12 million project also picked up awards for Value and Health & Safety, as well as highly commended for Building Project of the Year.

A fourth win for Conservation & Regeneration was in recognition of the work undertaken by Bailey Partnership to renovate the historic Saltash Train Station building and enhance the ‘Gateway to Cornwall’.

Partner, Simon Zawada, said: “Looking back over the last 50 years there have been so many incredible moments; ground-breaking projects that have played a significant role in the region’s vibrancy and regeneration. Our achievements in the Constructing Excellence Awards South West bring this together at a milestone time – we are truly honoured and proud to receive such acclaimed recognition.”
