St Austell Brewery’s partnership with Cornwall Cricket is set to continue this summer following the renewal of a stump deal featuring the brewery’s flagship ale Tribute in support of Cornwall’s talented cricketers
The agreement between the two organisations sees Tribute continuing as the official beer of Cornwall Cricket with the Tribute branding appearing on the stumps of adult cricket clubs across the county. A financial commitment will also be distributed among those clubs who sign-up to help them with their running costs.
Each month St Austell Brewery will also give a case of its Cornish pale ale to the team that has gone above and beyond, with plans for a special end of year award for unsung heroes already in the works.
Simon Menneer, Cornwall Cricket CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be able to continue our relationship with St Austell Brewery to bring our community cricket clubs some much-needed financial support. It is vital that we continue to sustain the health of the game within the county at all levels and hope that all of the clubs will sign up and get involved.”
In 2013 Tribute became the main title sponsor of Somerset County Cricket and appears on shirts in all forms of the game. In addition, Tribute is sponsor of Gloucestershire County Cricket team.
