The Bystro restaurant group has appointed Stephen Marsh as chef manager to help run its two eateries in St Austell and Redruth.

The first Bystro – Bystro at the Bank – was opened by Ben Stevens a year ago in St Austell, and has been swiftly followed by Bystro at the Lamb & Flag in Redruth.

Stevens said: “Stephen is the perfect choice for the Bystro team; shortlisted against Nathan Outlaw, Paul Ainsworth and Chris Eden in the 2014 What’s On Cornwall Awards for best Chef and with over ten years’ experience of Two Rosette cooking in Cornwall, Stephen comes with some amazing food experience.

“Stephen is here to help push our business and our food offering through the roof. Aiming to deliver something extra special in both Redruth and St Austell; towns previously not highly thought of on the food scene.”
