Surfing GB and St Austell Brewery has announced a new partnership that will see Korev Cornish Lager become the official beer of Surfing GB.
This three-year agreement builds on the growing popularity of the Cornish lager brand and St Austell Brewery’s aim to be a key supporter of the work of Surfing GB, the designated National Governing Body for Surfing in Great Britain.
St Austell Brewery, through the Korev brand, will support Surfing GB in its objective to provide membership to surfers, surf clubs and surf schools and to ensure that surfing is being practiced in a safe and fun environment for everyone to enjoy.
The Korev sponsorship will also form a key part of Surfing GB competitions, which aim to support and improve performance, enabling British surfing and surfers to remain internationally competitive.
Alex Williams, Surfing GB Director said: “As Surfing GB develops and gains strength, it’s imperative that we have the support and backing in place to achieve our goals. The relationship with St Austell Brewery’s Korev Lager does just that and we are delighted to join forces for the exciting journey ahead.”
Jeremy Mitchell, St Austell Brewery’s marketing and communications director, said: “Cornwall and Devon are synonymous with surfing and the beach lifestyle so Surfing GB is a perfect fit for the Korev brand.”
