A Cornish company is celebrating the successful installation of a newly-developed energy monitoring system at a college campus in the American state of Illinois.
The Eniscope Hybrid is the flagship in a new range of products from St Austell-based Enigin, which will both reduce and monitor the energy consumed by John A Logan College’s air conditioning, refrigeration and motor systems.
MD, Troy Wrigley said: “Knowing our system is now operational on the other side of the world, when it was no more than a concept just 12 months ago, fills me with a real sense of pride in what our team has achieved.”
Two members of the Enigin team travelled over to Illinois to oversee the installation, which was carried out by Chicago-based partner, Ensol USA.
Ensol has been engaged by the Illinois Green Economy Network to carry out a pilot at three sites across the state. Should the results prove positive, a roll out across 48 further community colleges will follow.
