Cornish Venning Chellews (CVC) Solicitors has a won a new contract from the Legal Services Commission (LSC) to provide legal aid to people with mental health cases and cases relating to community care issues.
CVC, which has offices in Penzance, Hayle and St Ives, already provides legal aid for a number of specialist areas of law including family and housing and has been working with mental health cases for many years.
The new contract for mental health and community care cases and services will be headed by company director and solicitor, Mostyn Evans, who commented: “We are very pleased to have won the contract to be able to provided legal aid for people with mental health cases and community care issues.
We firmly believe we have great experience and skills in this area of law, including trusts, wills, court of protection and deputyships, together with lasting powers of attorney. By operating through legal aid we are able to help even more people.”
