Penpont sold its first pint in Autumn 2008, soon after being established in Altarnun, north Cornwall, and has since gone on to produce a range of award winning ales and specialist beers.

The past 12 months has seen an expansion of brewing equipment to double the capacity of the brewery to over 6,500 pints a week, as well as establishing two bottled beer shops in Launceston and Truro, with a craft beer bar due to open in Exeter by December.

It has also enjoyed export success, with Penpont Brewery beer now available to buy in Russia, Canada, South Africa and soon Australia.

Head brewer and beer sommelier, Joe Thomson, said: “We are delighted to celebrate entering our sixth year, especially after such a successful 12 months and would like to invite everybody to a great evening at The Rising Sun where we are looking to have 14 different cask ales available, including our new flagship brew: Creation Pale Ale.”

No booking is required for the Beer and Pie night at The Rising Sun, and entry is free.
