A Lantoom Quarry employee has passed his AAT Accountancy qualification after three years of hard study.

William Hugh

William Hugh was recruited by Lantoom in January 2010 to train as an accounting apprentice and is one of three trainees that the company has hired in the past three years.

He said: “I look forward to continuing to improve and develop my skills with the support of Lantoom. I now plan to study to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) over the next few years. Without the financial and work-based support offered by the firm, I believe I would not have been able to take advantage of these educational opportunities.”

Lantoom operates Lantoom slate quarry near Dobwalls, and the Caradon granite quarry on Bodmin Moor.
