TRAC Services director Jonathan Trethowan has been selected by his peers as president elect of TOPRA, the professional body for those involved in the regulation of medicines and medical devices.
TOPRA is a global organisation with approximately 3,500 members from 50 countries drawn from industry, the regulatory agencies and the consultancy community.
Based at the Pool Innovation Centre, TRAC provides regulatory affairs services across the healthcare industries to ensure companies meet the safety, efficacy and quality of a drug product required by law to market it in any chosen country.
Trethowan, who will take up his new role on January 1, said: “I’m delighted to take on this exciting and challenging role. I have been a member of TOPRA for over 15 years and want to use this experience, along with my knowledge of starting and growing TRAC to ensure that TOPRA remains a vibrant organisation for regulatory affairs professionals.”
TOPRA executive director, Lynda Wight, added: “We are looking forward to working with Jonathan in this leadership role. The contributions of members like Jonathan are critical to our success as a global professional body.”
