Cornwall’s annual performance-boosting conference next week will bring together marketing, web design and project management experts to share their knowledge and experience with local businesses.
The event on September 7 will give companies the opportunity to attend short practical workshops on project management, marketing & social media, event management and web design & SEO.
“We listen to employers in everything we do and have put together this event in response to demand and customer feedback,” said Tamsyn Harris, from Cornwall College Business (CCB). “The event ties in with our degree level short courses, which are designed to be practical and accessible to those in employment.”
The free event will be held in Truro, at The Business Space, on September 7 from 9am-12.30pm. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend two hour-long workshops, where they will hear how local organisations, including Isis Construction, Matthew Stevens, Business Cornwall publisher Tonick Business Publishing and Ruby Tiger Design, have used training to grow their businesses.
The event is also a good opportunity to network with other business people. As well as case studies from individual businesses, the sessions will also include practical advice from CCB trainers, including Dr Michelle Lawrence and Stephen Howard.
Delegates can also book individual appointments with a Cornwall College Business advisor at the conference if they’d like to discuss the training needs of their organisation.
Places to this free event are strictly limited so interested delegates are being asked to book their places as soon as possible, by calling CCB on 0800 731 7594, or emailing enquiries@ccb.cornwall.ac.uk.
