A luxury glamping business which appeared on the Dragons’ Den TV show last year, is set to expand into Cornwall.
The Secret Garden Glamping secured a £100k investment for 5% equity in the business from Sara Davies.
Its original site in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, already claims to be the most viewed, most booked and most followed glamping site in the UK, boasting over 1.3 million social media followers and a waiting list that spans two years.
While the exact location of the Cornwall site hasn’t yet been disclosed, entrepreneur Derry Green says it will bring a fresh buzz to the region’s tourism sector, “offering a unique experience that has never been seen before in the area”.
“This expansion is a dream come true,” he said. “The investment from Dragons’ Den gave us the resources and mentorship to turn our vision of multiple locations into reality. Cornwall is the perfect place to launch our next chapter, offering a blend of natural beauty and an appetite for tourism that matches our ambition.”
Further details about the Cornwall site will be revealed in the coming weeks with a launch set for early spring.
