One of Cornwall’s most iconic clifftop hotels is under new ownership.
The Driftwood Hotel, which boasts sweeping views over Gerrans Bay on Cornwall’s south coast, has been sold by Christie & Co to a private investor group off a guide price of £3 million.
The hotel features 14 comfortable rooms, a three AA rosette restaurant and a three-bedroom owner’s house, along with landscaped gardens and ground of circa 5 acres that lead down to the private beach.
The property has been owned by Paul and Fiona Robinson for the past 22 years and came to the market as they are looking to retire.
Paul Robinson said: “Whilst we have mixed emotions about leaving Driftwood, it has been an amazing journey and we would like to thank all our guests, many whom of have become friends over the years, for their support and, of course, our wonderful staff.”
